Green a School Project Continues at Ma-ai-hii Comprehensive and Secondary Schools

Today, Friends of Ondiri Wetland Kenya - FOWK successfully conducted a field visit to Ma-ai-hii Comprehensive School as part of our ongoing tree-growing initiative. The school had requested 500 seedlings, and our team exceeded expectations by preparing 1,000 seedling pits, doubling the original target. This achievement reflects our commitment to environmental conservation and ensuring adequate preparation for the upcoming planting exercise.

We were warmly received by the school's dedicated teachers, who expressed their appreciation for the work accomplished. During our engagement, we encouraged them to actively involve the pupils in nurturing and maintaining the trees to promote long-term sustainability. They welcomed this recommendation with great enthusiasm and commitment.

Our team also visited Ma-ai-hii Secondary School, where we received an equally warm welcome. We successfully prepared more than 100 seedling pits, and the school is now looking forward to the delivery of the seedlings for planting.

Overall, it was a highly successful and productive day. Every pit prepared represents a step toward a greener future, and we remain committed to creating a lasting environmental impact. This is our calling, and we are proud to continue making a meaningful difference in our communities.
