Today, we had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation from the European Union at Ondiri Wetland.
During the visit, we proudly showcased the impactful work being carried out by Friends of Ondiri Wetland Kenya. Our initiatives span from conservation efforts, citizen science, environmental clubs, and continuous awareness creation through activities such as the Ondiri Wetland Conservation Run.
We also highlighted transformative projects currently underway, including the regeneration project spearheaded by the Government of Kenya. This ambitious initiative will see the development of a 1,500-capacity open-air amphitheatre, a resource centre, a research centre, fencing of the wetland, bird-watching towers, and many other enhancements aimed at strengthening conservation, education, and ecotourism.
The delegation expressed their appreciation for the dedication and impact of our team, reaffirming the importance of partnerships in safeguarding this unique ecosystem.
We look forward to building lasting collaborations and achieving even greater milestones together for the future of Ondiri Wetland.
