H.E. Mikanipare Simon Visits Ondiri Wetland on Our First Work Day of 2026

Today, 5th January, marked our first day of work at Ondiri Wetland for the year, and we were honoured to host H.E. Mikanipare Simon, President of the African Youth Union Development Commission (AYUDC) and Founder of Sun Rays Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to youth development and community empowerment across East Africa and South Sudan.

During his visit, President Simon toured Ondiri Wetland, planted ceremonial trees, and inspired the Friends of Ondiri Wetland (FOWK) team with his powerful vision of Pan-Africanism. It was truly a moment of reflection, motivation, and renewed purpose. We look forward to continued engagement and collaboration, and are particularly excited about partnering with AYUDC during our two upcoming events later in January and in September, as we collectively strive towards building a better and more united African continent.
