NDC Course 28 Strengthens Partnership with FOWK Through A Tree Growing Initiative

Yesterday, we had a fruitful engagement with the representatives of NDC Course 28–2025/26, who have been instrumental in supporting tree-growing activities in line with the Government’s 15 Billion Tree Growing Initiative.

The cohort planted over 2,000 trees on October 10, 2025, along the Alliance High School stretch, mainly indigenous species, and the survival rate currently stands at an impressive 80%.

Friends of Ondiri Wetland Kenya (FOWK) is proud of this partnership and the impact it continues to create towards environmental conservation and climate action.

We look forward to planting even more trees this May as the current cohort completes its study course.
